Fieldhouse Music Reboots “A Holiday Benefit” With a New Album & Show

NEW YORK, New York – Come join Fieldhouse, BMG and a merry troupe of New York musicians Tuesday, December 9th at Rockwood Music Hall Stage 2 for the grand reboot of “A Holiday Benefit” album and show, to benefit ArteAmor.

A few years ago some local New York musicians came together to record a fun little album called “A Holiday Benefit,” both as an excuse to hang out and to give back to the community. The effort eventually raised nearly $20,000 and helped countless inner city students.

“The blueprint was A Very Special Christmas,” says Benjamin Wagner, one of the founders of “A Holiday Benefit.” “That record’s the soundtrack to my best holiday memories: Christmas Eve, late-Eighties, my brother’s brown station wagon, eggnog, Springsteen, U2 and Run DMC. We wanted to make something as great. And well-intentioned.”

Fast forward seven years and the group is ready to drop a sixth record and celebrate its release with a grand release party. The show, hosted by former MTV and Fuse News correspondent John Norris, will feature music by Chris Ayer, Beecher’s Fault, Caleb Hawley, Mieka Pauley and more backed by Brooklyn Sugar Co. band. Admission is $20 and includes a complimentary copy of the album.

The official “A Holiday Benefit” album is a unique compilation of original holiday songs and Christmas classics, featuring 26 tracks from some of the industry’s best independent singer/songwriters. The star atop this festive Christmas tree of sound is a group rendition of “Christmas Is All Around” from Love Actually, recorded at Galuminumfoil Studios in Brooklyn. The record drops Tuesday, November 25th and can be downloaded at

Proceeds from “A Holiday Benefit” album and concert will benefit ArteAmor, a non-profit organization that provides arts workshops to impoverished children around the world.
