Olivia_Millerschin-157Olivia Millerschin is an 18-year-old, Rochester Hills, Mich., singer/songwriter/musician, who has toured nationally with musicians, such as Teddy Geiger, Tyler Hilton, Ryan Cabrera, Howie Day and Mike Mangione & The Union. Her indie pop/folk sound is reminiscent of a mix of Ingrid Michaelson, Sara Bareilles and Amy Winehouse. She plays the ukulele, piano and guitar and often performs as a solo, duo or with a full band.
2014 has already started as a banner year for Olivia. She is busy working on her next EP, “Over the Weather,” which will debut in May. Olivia is also a finalist in the Detroit Music Awards for “Acoustic/Folk Vocalist” and “Acoustic/Folk Recording” for her debut album, “Yes. No. Maybe So.,” which was released in 2013. She’ll perform at the awards ceremony at The Filmore Theater in Detroit on April 25.
Her music has received praise from local and national radio and print music aficionados. Her debut album was listed #7 in annarbors107.one’s list of “Top 100 Albums of 2013,” and she was named a finalist in the “Rising Stars” category by the LA Music Critics Awards and in the list of “Stars to Watch” by Lemonade magazine.
She performs regularly at various venues, festivals, college campuses and charity events across the U.S., including City Winery and Shuba’s in Chicago, City Winery and Bareburger in NYC, House of Blues in LA, and The Ann Arbor Art Fair, Traverse City Film Festival and Mackinac Island, Mich., among others.
She has performed at numerous charity events in support of Habitat for Humanity, Make-A-Wish, Ovarian Cancer, Teen Suicide Prevention and Christ Child House.
